Bloc Party's Russell to join Ash on UK tour

Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack is set to join Ash for their forthcoming April UK tour!Lissack will join up with the Irish trio to make them a four-piece for the gig run, set to kick off in Southampton on April 19."As soon as they called me I was really excited," Lissack said. "I guess the only weird part would be spending so much time with people I don't really know. I'm not sure how that will work out, but we seem to have got on well so far."Catch them at Leeds Met University on 24th April.

Saosin pull out of tour with Aiden

Sad news folks! You’ve probably guessed it from the title of the news piece already, but unfortunately Saosin have pulled out of the tour with Aiden (the Leeds date being Friday 23rd April at The Cockpit).
From what we gather from their myspace blog Saosin have said “I wish I had some elaborate story about members losing limbs while shark diving, but the truth of the matter is, we didn't get a record released In the UK and europe was a lackluster one at best.... Cheers friends and

Stop the press! Two further, bloomin awesome, additions to the already epic Live At Leeds lineup have just been confirmed!
Having graced the Brudenell Social Club just a few months ago with their headline tour, Twisted Wheel return to Leeds once more with their gritty, rock 'n' roll sound with the kind of enthused energy that is lacking in so much of today's music. Think punk like early Clash & The Jam; and 1960's teenage angst of The Kinks and The Who.
