The legendary club night returns to The Cockpit for this New Year’s Eve; an event which has now established itself as an annual pilgrimage for lovers of sixties music and style !

For the uninitiated, the ethos of the club has always been: To celebrate the best guitar music by playing classic records, old and new, with attitude and style. Alongside the famous records, the 60’s soul & pop, classic indie & northern, Brighton Beach has also been championing many of the new British bands.

In the main room, original DJ Red Helen will be playing Indie and Britpop alongside classic 60s Soul, Motown, R’n’B and fuzzed-up 60s Garage Rock. Here we’ll be having our big countdown to midnight with a fantastic old recording of Big Ben’s chimes.

In the second room, lit with psychedelic oil wheels and 60s slide projections, original DJ Mark Ellis plus special guests will be playing sets from the 60s underground from Northern Soul, R’n’B and Beat to speed-fuelled Garage and Psych all on stunning original vinyl. It’s going to be one hell of a night!
