Kassidy
25/08/10
Kassidy have been pigeon-holed with the likes of Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes and Laura Marling. Yet, we reckon they are more Glasgow’s strikingly hirsute answer to Woodstock-era supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Listening to the all-acoustic quartet takes you on a harmonic adventure into a world of cowboy boots, burnt grasslands and scattered mountain clouds AKA something very-un-Glasgow.
They’ve just released their EP, Rubbergum, last week which features the outstanding Take Another Ride, a song with a descending chord sequence reminiscent of The Beatles. AND if you’re one of the lucky ones that has a ticket to Leeds Festival you can catch them there too. If you haven’t got a ticket, fear not! We’ve just confirmed them to play here on Sunday 10th October.
